About me

Creating Connections: Art as a Bridge Between Humanity and Innovation

In a world where technology is seamlessly integrated into our everyday lives, the question arises of how humans and machines can grow together without losing the essence of what it means to be human. My art serves as an interface between these two realms, a space where the mechanical and the organic converge to create new perspectives on our existence. Through a harmonious blend of data streams and living forms, my works celebrate technological progress while inviting us to reconsider our relationship with technology—as a tool, not an end in itself.

In my paintings, which bring data and color into a vivid dialogue, the viewer becomes part of an experiment that simulates the exchange between humans and technology. Here, technology acts as a creative partner, expanding possibilities and inspiring us to explore new forms of expression. This creative process is, for me, an invitation to society to recognize the potential of technology and to use it responsibly. It’s about overcoming the fears often associated with the unknown and instead fostering a symbiosis that unites innovation with empathy.

Through this symbiosis, I aim to promote a vision of a better future where creativity and precision work hand in hand to develop sustainable solutions for generations to come. Each of my works stands as a symbol of technology’s transformative power—when used wisely, it not only solves problems but also unlocks human potential. My goal is to cultivate an awareness of the balance between progress and humanity, inspiring viewers to harness their own creativity and determination in shaping a shared future.

CV: From Data to Dialogue: A Journey from Science to Art

Mathias Riechert, born in 1986, has immersed himself in the creative and analytical world of technology from an early age. His first encounter with this world began at the age of ten, when he took his first steps in programming on a calculator with his father. This experience sparked a fascination with the aesthetics behind complex systems and laid the foundation for his creative journey. Even in his youth, he found ways to merge technology and art, whether through his first programmatic designs or his technology-inspired paintings, which he continuously refined.

During his career as a data scientist and later as a strategic manager, Mathias Riechert closely followed the societal impacts of digital transformation and artificial intelligence. He observed that public perception was often shaped by misunderstandings, with the immense potential of these technologies overshadowed by fear. To promote understanding of the symbiosis between humans and technology, he began expressing his insights artistically. His works explore the duality of technology and humanity, presenting it in a language accessible to a wide audience. Through his art, he seeks not only to illustrate the possibilities of technological change but also to emphasize the role of humanity in this new world.

He describes his style as “surreal symbiotism”—a method in which he combines digital textures and organic colors using a self-developed multilayer acrylic technique. Each work tells, on multiple levels, the interwoven story of humans and technology, inviting viewers to explore the deep layers of a technologized world. His artworks have already captured the attention of renowned art collectors and experts, particularly from the tech industry. After living in Dresden, Brisbane, Berlin, and Cambridge, Mathias Riechert has resided in Munich for the past seven years, where he is working to establish his pieces in international galleries and private collections.
